RESEARCH REACTOR SIMULATOR

The Jožef Stefan Institute is the leading research institution in Slovenia and has been operating a TRIGA research reactor for more than 50 years. Reactor physics division at the JSI has more than 30 years of experience in reactor calculations and performing measurements of reactor physical parameters at research reactors and nuclear power plant Krško. The reactor simulator was developed by two enthusiastic students (Jan Malec and Dan Toškan) of physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana under supervision of adjunct professor of reactor physics Luka Snoj, also serving as head of the reactor physics division at the Jožef Stefan Institute.
